How to Apply to the CalWORKs Program

Follow these steps to join the Moorpark College CalWORKs Program:

  1. Meet with your Employment Specialist if you live in Ventura County, or your GAIN Worker if you live in Los Angeles County.

  2. Obtain a referral or an approved Welfare-to-Work (W2W) plan.

  3. Apply to Moorpark College at moorparkcollege.edu.

  4. Complete the Moorpark College CalWORKs intake form.

  5. Call 805-553-4055 or email mccalworks@vcccd.edu to schedule your initial intake appointment with a CalWORKs staff member.

  6. After you register for classes, meet with a CalWORKs counselor to create your Individual Training Plan (ITP), request a book voucher form, and submit the required paperwork to your county worker.

After your appointment, update your county worker with your registered class schedule.
